President Bill Vermouth welcomed all to the November 29th meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club held at the American Legion in Brattleboro. He asked members who participated in the Pie It Forward fundraiser to welcome members and guests to the meeting. For the invocation, Gina Pattison recited “Irish Family Blessing”:
May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
This was followed by the pledge of allegiance. Birthday greetings were extended to Lisa Mendelsund, Carla Lineback, and Fred Moriarty.
As a luncheon grilled chicken, pork loin, mashed potatoes, chickpea medley, carrots, salad, bread and chocolate chip cookies for dessert was being digested, the meeting continued.

For our Rotary Minute, John Mabie informed us that we have two worthy candidates for this year’s Jesse Corum Scholarship for a CCV student completing their medical assisting program.
At our December 6th meeting, Joe Little will tell a joke or lead us in song and Mike Mandracchia will offer a Rotary Minute.

Message from Tom French: I will not be at today's meeting. Unfortunately, I experienced a sudden weakness in my right leg that caused me to fall. Fortunately, I was able to get up, but I do think that I need immediate medical attention. I would have bragged about Olivia today. Danielle, my daughter (Olivia's mother) texted me that Canada played two games in a Rugby tournament in Dubai, won both games, and Olivia scored a goal in the second game. That is all I know at the moment. (I don't even know whom they played). Let me know what I owe you for the pie and I will either send a check or give one to you at our next meeting.
“Pie It Forward” has sold 75 of towards its goal of 100 pumpkin pies.
