For our joke of the week:  President Allbee shared with the Club members a list of “don’t you just wish, just once, you could slip back in time and savor the slower pace…and share it with children of today.  To go back before the internet, to games with friends like Red Light, and Green Light, playing kickball and dodgeball, catching lighting bugs in a jar, climbing trees when kook-aid was the drink of summer, and other like events.  Didn’t it feel good just to go back and say, Yeah!
ED NOTE: 2022-23 weekly assignments are posted on the club website.
For the Rotary Minute,  none this week
Rotary anniversaries : Stay tuned.
1/12/23 The new Executive Director of the Retreat Farm, Kristin Sullivan will be a guest and make a presentation.

What the Student Rotarians did during the Holiday/Christmas Break
Spent time with family; went to a Nordic skiing event; went to a soccer tournament; read five books; went camping with my family in Florida; went to Indiana to see my grandmother with family and she is 107 years old; worked.
What some of the Rotary Members did during the same time
Went to Newmarket; went to Germany with family to celebrate the life of a grandmother; obtained 6 new chickens; happy that son got a new car; played the organ for the Guilford Church; pleased that one of our student Rotarians was accepted to UMASS Dartmouth; pleased that a home health aide from Winston Prouty was able to help a new baby in the Afghan family get immediate medical attention at Dartmouth that saved the baby’s life; spent time at our children's homes over the holiday’s something we have not done in the past; excited that my stepson is a top Nordic Skier and that my daughter Jenny can be in London on vacation now;
