President-elect Phil George, using a cowbell, welcomed all to the September 3rd meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club held via ZOOM. <ED NOTE: 27 Rotarians attended.> Liz Harrison offered the following invocation:
 
As we gather here today as members of Rotary, we pray that we are ever mindful of opportunities to render our service to fellow citizens and to our community. Keeping in mind always the enduring values of life, exerting our efforts in those areas and on those things upon which future generations can build with confidence. Let us continue to strive to make a better world. Amen.

ROTARY MINUTE
 
For the Rotary Minute, Roger Allbee talked about the Rotary Global Grant to help establish Whiteclay Makerspace, a place to provide jobs and resources to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation artists. To learn more about this project in which the Rotary clubs of Brattleboro participated, click here.

  2. The 45th Annual Rotary Golf Tournament will take place on 9/24. Players are still needed, as are volunteers. Ana Saavedra, Cathy Coonan, and Rich Carroll have made contributions to offset the cost but more is needed.>
