President Greg Worden welcomed all to the October 15th meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club held at the American Legion in Brattleboro. Phil George offered a meaningful invocation. This was followed by the pledge of allegiance. Birthday greetings were extended to Bill Daley, Dan Yates, and Marty Cohn.
As a luncheon of kielbasa + cabbage, pulled pork, salad, mac + cheese and house-made cookies for dessert was being digested, the meeting continued.

For our Rotary joke, Bill Daley told the following puns:
What do you call a fake noodle? Impasta.
What is the difference between a piano and a fish? You can tune a piano but you cannot tuna fish.

What do lawyers wear to court? Lawsuits
What did the Bacon say to the Tomato? Lettuce get together!
Then, Bill told the following joke:
There were women waiting in a doctor's office. They started talking and one women said, "I'm going to have a girl because I was on the bottom last time and I had a girl. I was on the bottom again this time so I'm going to have another girl." One of the other ladies said, "I'm going to have a boy, I was on the top." The last lady started to cry. The two other ladies asked, "Why are you crying?" She replied, "I'm going to have puppies!!!"

For the Rotary minute, Dane Rank informed us about the advances being made to keep the polio vaccine cold in order to reach outlying areas. For more info, click here.
