WELCOME

President Bill Vermouth welcomed all to the May 9th meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club held at the American Legion in Brattleboro. Rotary District Newsletter co-editor, Marty Cohn, welcomed members and guests <ED NOTE: Probably as many Rotarians read monthly District newsletter as read this weekly bulletin>. For today’s invocation, in honor of Mother’s Day, Marty Cohn offered the following quote from Mother Teresa:
"

“The fruit of silence is prayer, the fruit of prayer is faith, the fruit of faith is love, the fruit of love is service and the fruit of service is peace.”

This was followed by the pledge of allegiance. Birthday greetings were extended to Jerry Theberge and Jeff Hagstrom.

As a luncheon of chicken with tomatoes, green beans, cauliflower, salad, rolls and blondies for dessert was being digested, the meeting continued.

GUESTS: Visiting Rotarians Tom Franks (Sunrise), Tristan Johnson (Sunrise), Stephen Gangi, and Michael Lifshutz (speaker).
