President Bill Vermouth welcomed all to the December 6th meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club held at the American Legion in Brattleboro. He asked members who participated at the November 26th Seasonal Overflow Shelter to welcome members and guests to the meeting. For the invocation, George Weir offered the following”:
As we gather here today as members of Rotary, we pray that we are ever mindful of opportunities to render our service to fellow citizens and to our community. Keeping in mind always the enduring values of life, exerting our efforts in those areas and on those things upon which future generations can build with confidence. Let us continue to strive to make a better world. Amen.
This was followed by the pledge of allegiance. Birthday greetings were extended to Ana Saavedra.
For lunch today, Entera Artisanal Catering donated two delicious soups – vegetable and kielbasa/chicken. This generosity will allow us to in turn make a donation to “Feed the Thousands.”
