President Greg Worden welcomed all to the August 6th meeting held at the American Legion in Brattleboro. Ana Saavedra offered a meaningful invocation about the meaning of gratitude. This was followed by the pledge of allegiance.
As a luncheon of curried chicken, salads, rice and strawberry shortcake for dessert was being digested, the meeting continued.
NOTE: No guests attended and no birthday greetings were extended. ;-(

NOTE: John was immediately fined and he willingly paid.
ROTARY MINUTE
For the Rotary minute, Rick Manson recounted his Rotary mission trip to El Salvador. He was told not to the drink the water. So, faithfully, all on the mission only drank beer. Unfortunately, one member forgot and drank water at the airport as they were leaving and promptly got sick on the way home.
At our August 13th meeting, Beth Baldwin will tell a joke or lead us in song, while Rick Manson delivers a Rotary Minute.
