REMINDERS
Please bring your bottles and cans to the Putney Road redemption center to benefit Pure Water for the World. Please remember to inform the staff that the bottles and cans should be credited to the club.
Phil Steckler:Mentioned how proud he is of this daughter who is a Fullbright Scholar in Paris, France.
Dave Trombley: Recognized the Brattleboro Outing Club for its 100th Anniversary. He mentioned all the Club has done and is currently doing.
Betsy Gentile: Recognized the Leland and Gray Women’s Soccer for their Division Championship.
George Weir:Recognized his wife Joan for her tennis skills and participation in competition in Florida.
George Anthes:Mentioned the Youth Theater as well as the Community TV programs to over forty stations.
Bill Vermouth: Told a story about Gina’s artwork and her civic minded family that are also apparently very tolerant with Gina’s art work on the home refrigerator.
Roger Allbee: Mentioned a note from Tom French, who said his granddaughter Olivia was selected to be on the World Cup Team for Canada.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Phil George mentioned the Christmas Tree sales and the signup list.He also mentioned that a small group will be going to pick up the trees and a group will be at the Bowling building at about 3 pm to unload the trees on the 19th..
Greg Worden asked for help that morning , the 19th,at 8:30 am to setup Christmas lights on Main Street.Meet at VtArtisans.
Gina asked that members of the gift committee meet after the meeting.
Gina mentioned that volunteers are needed to make TG stuffing for Groundworks on Thanksgiving day.Please contact Stan to help.
Betsy said the students enjoyed participating in River Gallery drawing at the last meeting.
Roger said that based on the survey, and the need for more space for Club meetings, that starting December 1st, the meeting will be held at the Legion.The exception will be December 8th due to the use of the Legion facility by another organization.
PROGRAM
Carl Lynde introduced the speaker, Jeff Nugent from the Windham Regional Commission.Jeff has been at the Commission for 27 years and is responsible for mapping.He gave an excellent presentation on mapping and mapping resources that are available to the public.He discussed on how things have changed over the past ten years with apps and digitalization.For more details he suggested to go to the Windham Regional Commission page on maps.
