TRIVIA QUESTION

(Answer below)

JOKE OF THE WEEK

For the joke of the week, Ana Saavedra told the following:
  1. Three economists are out deer hunting.  They encounter a deer, and the first economist takes his shot and misses one meter to the left.  Then the second takes his shot and misses one meter to the right, whereupon the third begins jumping up and down and calls out excitedly, “We got it!  We got it!”
  2. A woman hears from her doctor that she has only half a year to live. The doctor advises her to marry an economist and to live in South Dakota. The woman asks, "will this cure my illness"?  The doctor answers, "No, but the half-year will seem pretty long".
  3. Why did God create economists? To make weather forecasters look good.

ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION

On February 23, 1905, Paul Harris, Gustavus Loehr, Silvester Schiele, and Hiram E. Shorey gathered in Loehr’s office for what would become known as the first Rotary club meeting. Harris’ desire for camaraderie among business associates brought together these four men and eventually led to an international organization of service and fellowship. Each of the first four Rotarians, and Harry L. Ruggles, who is often called the “fifth Rotarian,” brought different professional perspectives to the organization. When the Rotary Club of Chicago published its member roster in October 1905, the club had grown to 21 members, including two honorary members.
