President Phil George welcomed all to the March 17th meeting of the Brattleboro Rotary Club www.brattlebororotaryclub.org held at the American Legion. <ED NOTE: 18 members + 2 guests = 20 attended.>.  
For the invocation Roger Miller sent along an Irish blessing that was read by Pres. Phil.
 
This was followed by the pledge of allegiance.  Birthday greetings were extended to Teddy Kramer

For the Rotary Minute, Mara Williams shared that Jennifer Jones from the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland, Ontario became the first woman to be nominated to become the President of Rotary International in 2022-23 .

  1. We are back meeting in person at the Legion but will continue to meet via Zoom on the 3rd Thursday of the month. 
  2. Rob Szpila shared the positive energy and events working with the Afghan family we are mentoring.They have settled into an apartment, the girls are in school, the health team assisted the family to get some emergency dental care for a daughter and hopefully the father has a job prospect.

  2. Bill McKim ($5) for his cardiologist for allowing him to go to Puerto Rico for some R & R.  He will miss the next 2 meetings.
                                                      
PROGRAM
  Jennifer Ambler presented  John Quain, an award winning reporter and author.  He writes for the NY Times, FoxNews.com, is on air reporter for CBS news and his articles have appeared in many publications.  His podcast is “On The Road to Autonomy”.  Writing about electric vehicles he has tested many and he shared insight into the electric vehicle industry.  Extremely interesting with lots of follow up discussion. Check out the presentation.
