Here is information about our first Indian Film and Food Festival, which took place on Saturday, May 2, 2009. This event raised close to $10,000 for Polio Plus.

The Brattleboro Rotary Club and the Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary Club are co-hosting an Indian Film and Food Festival to support the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), an effort to fight polio - a crippling and sometimes fatal disease that still paralyzes children in parts of Africa and Asia and threatens children everywhere.

Two films, Monsoon and Outsourced were shown at the Latchis Theatre from 4 to 6:30PM.  Then, we moved to the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center where we enjoyed Indian cuisine, as well as Polio Plus presentations and videos.
