The Brattleboro Rotary Club receives many inquiries about scholarships, awards, and donations. Here is a brief summary of what we offer:

- Our Gateway Foundation Scholarship program awards $18,000-$24,000 in scholarships annually to graduating seniors at the local high schools (BUHS, L&G, and Hinsdale). For more information, please click here.

- Our Gift Giving program awards limited donations to 501c3 nonprofit organizations each year. For more information, please click here.

At the district and national level, student exchange and scholarship programs follow a well-defined and drawn-out (year in advance) process that starts at the local level with a club sponsoring or recommending an individual to the district level, seeking district approval, and then following on to Rotary International for final approval and funding.

The Rotary Youth Exchange programs include several different specific programs. Funds can not be directed to any independent, non-Rotary exchange programs, semester-long or otherwise. Rotary District 7870, to which the Brattleboro Club belongs, has close ties with an independent fund that can offer financial assistance to some Rotary students, but the funds are limited to consideration of applicants participating in the Rotary International Youth Exchange program through District 7870. Although eligibility includes both sponsored and hosted students (Outbound and Inbound), it does not include participants in other independent exchange programs, even though the student might live within the district.
